Legacy
The examples in this section use the original JavaScript and YAML approach for building plugin interfaces. They are retained for maintaining existing products and understanding historical projects.
Do not use this workflow to start a new plugin. New products should use Gorilla Engine React and should be developed as compiled, installed plugins from the beginning.
These legacy examples demonstrate:
- Gorilla Script for instrument parameter creation
- YAML-based UI layout definition
- Plain JavaScript for application logic
- Direct Gorilla Engine API usage
Each example includes:
- A
.instfile for Gorilla Editor - A
plugin_assetsfolder with blob files, YAML layout, and JavaScript - Ready-to-use Gorilla Compiler project files (.ugep)
Browse these examples when you need to maintain or migrate a product built with the legacy interface stack.
